On July 16, ZGZH’s second polypropylene plant successfully trial-produced high-fluidity transparent polypropylene resin for the first time. The new product has a melt index of 55 g/10 seconds. It is currently ZGZH’s best-flowing random copolymer polypropylene resin. The new products help downstream users improve processing efficiency and save raw material consumption.
Recently, under the organization of ZGNB New Materials Research Institute, the ZGZH polyolefin production, marketing and research team has increased the pace of market research. The visit allowed the team not only to receive feedback from customers after using raw materials, but also to obtain new market demands. The R&D team analyzed and judged the captured new market demand and found that the application of transparent polypropylene with high liquidity is on the rise, while the domestic market in China is basically occupied by imported polypropylene.
The R&D team reacted quickly, based on the original transparent polypropylene grades based on the technical characteristics of the ZGZH polypropylene plant, and set up a project to develop a series of products with higher flow properties. There are many grades of ZGZH transparent polypropylene. According to the difference of melt index, there are originally three grades, and the products are sold to Japan, Europe and other countries and regions. In addition to retaining the characteristics of high gloss and excellent transparency, the new products produced in this trial mainly have breakthroughs in fluidity and excellent processing performance, which can greatly reduce energy consumption and increase production efficiency. It is suitable for large-scale parts, thin-walled products, household products and beverage packaging, especially in high-end applications such as milk tea cups. Next, ZGZH will cooperate with target users to replace imported high-end polypropylene for trial use in milk tea cups, household products, etc., and conduct demonstration applications and promotion. The market prospect is good.
