At present, BWZN has produced a stable batch of special steel – high sulfur, high calcium, aluminum containing non quenched and tempered steel.
High sulfur and high calcium aluminum containing non quenched and tempered steel has high strength, plasticity, and wear resistance, and good machinability. It is mainly used as steel for automotive control arms and pull rods, and can be used to manufacture parts that work under heavy load conditions.
The composition of this steel requires high sulfur, high calcium, and aluminum content, with narrow composition control for multiple elements and strict requirements for residual elements and various physical and chemical indicators. In addition, poor fluidity, high tendency for surface cracks, and severe segregation are prone to occur during production. The production process is complex and difficult to control. Previously, this type of steel relied on imports.
Industry insiders believe that as the only enterprise in China that has successfully developed high sulfur, high calcium, aluminum containing non quenched and tempered steel, BWZN is expected to further expand its market share in the automotive steel market in the future.
