Preparation of ultra-high strength silicon carbide particle reinforced aluminum alloy composite materials based on powder metallurgy method, which improves the strength, elastic modulus, and other properties of the alloy by utilizing dispersion strengthening, fine grain strengthening, and adding silicon based reinforcement particles during the powder metallurgy process.
The prepared alloy billets, like conventional aluminum alloy billets, can be made into various semi-finished and finished products through traditional metal processing processes such as extrusion, forging, and spinning.
Compared with conventional aluminum alloy materials, the strength of ultra-high strength silicon carbide particle reinforced aluminum alloy composites can be increased by 15-50%, and the elastic modulus can be increased by 20-55%.
