The microcrystalline alumina continuous fiber project of China’s high-performance continuous SiC ceramic fiber technology manufacturer was selected as “Suzhou Material Innovation and Technology Plan” Hay:B03SZRT

On September 10, 2020, the Suzhou City Material Innovation and Technology Plan proposed project announcement was freshly released, focusing on the research and industrialization of high-performance continuous SiC ceramic fibers. SZRT Ceramic Fiber Technology Co., Ltd. was selected.

SZRT's main research and development project is the research and development and industrialization of microcrystalline alumina continuous fiber. This project uses high-purity aluminum oxide compound, adds a certain amount of nano ɑ-Al2O3 seed crystals and crystal inhibitors, and prepares aluminum sol by hydrothermal method. Compared with other alumina fiber projects in China that are seeking industrial production, the products of this project have superior chemical stability, mechanical stability, and thermal stability. The R&D and industrialization of this project are of great significance to improving the domestic technology level and even the performance of many downstream products.

The project applicant Wang Mouhua is a technical leader of silicon carbide fibers at the Shanghai Institute of Applied Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He has been committed to the modification of the ceramic precursor polycarbosilane and the research and industrialization of high-performance continuous SiC ceramic fibers. The second- and third-generation continuous silicon carbide fibers have been validated in the aerospace and nuclear energy fields, laying the foundation for the smooth development of this project. He has made breakthroughs in key technologies in continuous aluminum fibers. He is the core talent in the localization of continuous alumina ceramic fibers and aluminum sol in China. He presided over or participated in a number of polymer materials research, published dozens of scientific research papers, and won ten Remaining authorized patents.
