On November 11, China's leading manufacturer of magnesium alloy forging and magnesium alloy semi-solid die-casting, GDZM Magnesium Alloy Technology Group invested 1.5 billion RMB to build a new magnesium alloy material industrial base project (Phase I) officially put into operation. At present, the workshops of die-casting, forging, extrusion, painting, and deep processing have entered one-stop production.
The project was officially launched in July 2018, with a total investment of 1.5 billion yuan. It will mainly build a new magnesium alloy material base and a magnesium alloy material application research institute. It is committed to the research, production and application of automotive lightweight materials (magnesium alloy new materials), including R&D and production of magnesium alloy lightweight materials for new energy vehicle bodies, wheels, axles, wheel frames, aerospace and bicycles.
The project is planned to be constructed in two phases, of which the investment in the first phase is about 1 billion yuan. After precise debugging, the production lines of the workshop have begun to produce electric bicycle wheels, frame and other magnesium alloy parts. After being put into operation, the annual output value is expected to reach 1 billion yuan, becoming an important base for the magnesium alloy industry.
