The panoramic camera carbon fiber composite turntable developed by China Robotics Technology Corporation helps the Chang’e-5 probe complete the lunar surface detection Hay:R10ZKSY

The Chang'e-5 mission of China's lunar exploration project plans to sample the lunar surface and return the samples to Earth, helping to deepen scientific research on the origin and evolution of the moon. It is the most complex and difficult mission in China's aerospace industry so far.

In the scientific payload mission of China's Chang'e-5 detector, ZKSY Automation Technology Group undertook the task of developing panoramic camera turntable products.

The panoramic camera turntable adopts a two-free configuration based on a robotic arm, which has the unique advantages of large motion range, high motion accuracy, large load capacity, small dead weight, low power consumption, internal wiring, etc. Its functions and performance are in the harsh environment of the moon It satisfies the designated scientific and engineering goals of lunar surface scientific exploration, surface sampling area imaging, surface sampling process monitoring and collaboration, and flag display, providing a key support for the Chang'e 5 scientific exploration mission.

The most challenging part of the product development process is the development of the binocular camera mounting plate. In order to ensure the overall rigidity of the turntable, vibration resistance, camera baseline length, camera optical axis accuracy, and light weight, the camera mounting plate uses all carbon fiber The integrated design of composite materials and heterogeneous geometric features, through multiple rounds of optimization iterations, solved a series of complex process problems such as reinforcement of structural stiffeners and nearly isotropic paving. It passed all standard tests and met the development requirements.

ZKSY has undertaken the research of the panoramic camera turntable in May 2012, and completed the delivery of the original samples in April 2016. During this period, the electrical parts, sampling packages, structural parts, thermal controls, identification parts, original samples, and backup parts have been completed. Development of seven sets of products.

The development and quality control experience of the panoramic camera turntable has provided targeted reference value for other space missions undertaken by ZKSY, such as the National Manned Space Station Scientific Experiment Cabinet, and the Science and Application Satellite.
