After inquiry and discussion, it reached a consensus and believed that the product performance indicators based on the key manufacturing technology of ultra-thin oriented electrical steel reached the international advanced level, from raw materials to finished products Completely autonomous control will break the foreign technology monopoly and realize the localized substitution of this new material.

Ultra-thin oriented electrical steel is a key magnetic material that supports China’s modernization with an application frequency above 400Hz. It is an essential soft magnetic material in the fields of electric power, electronics industry, rail transit, modern medical care, and big data center construction. Materials are also an important strategic resource of the country, with a very wide range of applications, and are products that are in short supply in the country. Due to high manufacturing technology requirements and difficult preparation processes, key production technologies have been blocked by foreign countries.

Liu Baozhi, head of the BTWF R&D team, told Hay Think that the preparation process of this domestically made ultra-thin oriented electrical steel is an extremely complex technology integration. In terms of raw material preparation, the R&D team used a special process control technology that added oxides to inhibit the formation of magnesium silicate, and developed a special CGO raw material for ultra-thin oriented electrical steel.

In the preparation technology of special coating for steel strip, the team developed a high heat-resistant coating formula. Based on the optimized coating and sintering curing process, the product coating adhesion level A accounts for more than 95%, and the average surface insulation resistance is 5 ohms per Above square centimeters, it can withstand stress relief annealing at up to 820°C, which solves the problem that coatings meet the service conditions of extremely thin belts from scratch.

The R&D team has also built a test platform for complex service conditions of the product, and established a test evaluation system to achieve the evaluation of key application technical indicators such as long-term service characteristics, high-order harmonic losses, magnetostriction under stress, and noise characteristics.
