On January 11, 2019, the military-civilian dual-use advanced ceramic fiber project won the bronze prize in the innovation group of the 2018 World New Materials Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition.
Oxide ceramic fiber is a new type of material with high temperature resistance and oxidation resistance. It has huge application demand in the field of military and civil thermal protection. According to the shape, it can be divided into three types: continuous fiber, fiber cotton and nanofiber. Among them, the continuous oxide ceramic fiber production technology is monopolized by the United States and Japan, and the products are banned from China.
It is understood that the main body of the military-civilian dual-use advanced ceramic fiber project has independent intellectual property rights and uses solid-state precursor melt spinning to successfully develop an oxide ceramic fiber preparation route different from the sol-gel method.
