In oil and gas exploitation operations, a major problem that plagues major oil and gas fields is the huge damage to the tubing and casing caused by the corrosive environment. The traditional protection method is to use anti-corrosion integral stainless steel tubing and casing or surface coating technology. The stainless steel tubing and casing used in China is mainly made of super 13Cr material, and it is mainly imported.
SDML technical staff introduced: "SDML has the same corrosion resistance of bimetallic corrosion-resistant tubing and casing, its price is significantly lower than that of imported products, which can greatly reduce the cost of oil and gas field exploration."
In fact, the bimetal corrosion-resistant tubing and casing developed by SDML can completely replace imported super 13Cr tubing and casing in performance. SDML took the lead in testing its products in wells H3072 and H3093 in the special operation area of the No. 1 Plant of Xinjiang Oilfield. Xinjiang Oilfield said in the report issued by Xinjiang Oilfield: "The depth of the downhole is 500 meters. After trial, the downhole process is smooth, the torque is stable, there is no sticking and tripping phenomenon, the operation is convenient, and the technical parameters conform to API standards and corporate standards."
Technical personnel introduction: "The bimetallic corrosion-resistant oil casing developed by SDML is lined with S30408 stainless steel, with an annual corrosion rate of about 0.039mm/y; compared to the thickness of the nickel-tungsten alloy coating of 0.022~0.055mm, the thickness of the lined stainless steel It is 1.5mm, wear-resistant, corrosion-resistant, and has a longer life cycle (about 30 times). "The corrosion resistance of bimetallic corrosion-resistant tubing and casing is higher than that of super 13Cr material tubing and casing, and the price advantage is obvious; Compared with API standard tubing and casing pipes coated with nickel-tungsten alloy coating and lined with polyethylene plastic pipes, they have greater advantages in terms of service life, corrosion resistance, repeated use, and adaptability to oilfield production processes.

In the spring of 2019, under the general environment of declining international oil prices, SDML management put forward the goal plan of "high-end product strategy" with a foresight, and the bimetal corrosion-resistant tubing casing project was put on the research and development agenda.
