On October 29, China's leading styrene-based thermoplastic elastomer (TPES) manufacturer, NBCH Polymer Materials Technology Group announced that the company will invest 5 billion yuan to build PBAT, PBS, PBT biodegradable materials industrial park.
The project will build a flexible production project capable of producing 600,000 tons of fully biodegradable thermoplastic PBAT/PBS/PBT per year.
The total biodegradable new material industrial park project plans to use 213 mu of land. It is planned in two phases. Each phase will build a flexible production line with an annual output of 300,000 tons of PBAT, PBS, PBT and other degradable materials. The total construction period is 5 years. The investment in the first phase is 2.5 billion yuan, and the first investment in the first phase is 1 billion yuan. The first phase of the first project is expected to have an annual output value of 2 billion yuan and annual tax payment of 120 million yuan. The second-phase investment still needs to perform review procedures and letter disclosure obligations.
NBCH stated that the project meets the requirements of the national industrial policy for reducing environmental pollution. The product has a strong ability to replace other plastic products, has a broad market, strong competitiveness, and significant economic benefits. The investment matters stipulated in the agreement will help enhance the company's competitiveness. Combining the company's existing thermoplastic elastomer industry, after the completion of the fully biodegradable plastic project, it will be combined with the SBS industry chain to form two main lines, two-wheel drive, complementary advantages, and broaden corporate development Space can improve the company’s overall industrial scale and comprehensive competitiveness, and conform to the company’s long-term development plan and development strategy.
