LPKF launches next-generation laser plastic welding system InlineWeld 6600 at FAKUMA 2018

On October 16, the Fakuma International Trade Fair for Plastics Processing opened in Friedrichshafen, Germany. As a world-renowned industrial plastics processing and injection molding technology exhibition, the Fakuma exhibition attracted visitors, experts and corporate decision makers from more than a hundred countries to visit the exhibition. How can such a grand event not be seen? The new generation of laser plastic welding system introduced by LPKF Laser Electronics on Fakuma for the first time has attracted everyone's attention.

LPKF Laser Electronics, for the first time at Fakuma, introduced the next-generation laser plastic welding system InlineWeld 6600, which is suitable for connecting plastic parts in a fully automated production environment. The system focuses on efficiency, cost minimization and user quality assurance.

LPKF InlineWeld 6600 laser plastic welding system with intuitive system operation interface

The universal standardized welding system LPKF InlineWeld 6600 enables fast, safe and tight connection of plastic parts. The system with compact laser head and independent control cabinet is designed for mass production in three shifts. With a large automation interface, the Inline system can be easily and quickly integrated into production lines and MES.

Only a few operations are required from project setup to high-quality finished parts. The perfect interaction of hardware and software plays an important role in the economic use of the machine. With just a few mouse clicks, the contours are automatically generated and then transformed into perfect welding results on a calibrated work area. The additional dual clamping technology helps to further reduce cycle time and improve production process efficiency.

Reliable, standardized mold change systems and integrated mold identification devices help quickly change molds for different applications. Modern adjustable servo clamping technology ensures high-quality connections throughout the weld. The integrated process monitoring system of the LPKF InlineWeld 6600 ensures maximum process reliability.

Get the best results with transmission measurements

A calibrated transmission measuring instrument LPKF TMG 3 is used to detect material irregularities before the welding process begins

The LPKF TMG 3 measuring device can inspect the transparency of plastics in seconds before welding starts. Since the optical transmission of plastic is one of the key factors affecting the quality of the welding head and is susceptible to the previous process, simple control of the transmission characteristics before laser plastic welding will be rewarded in comprehensive quality assurance. For this reason, the measuring device can be easily integrated into the production line.
