On September 25, Teijin Co., Ltd. announced that it would build the world's first Advanced Fiber Reinforced Wood (AFRW) building, a structural wood product that includes multiple-size wood and high-performance bonded structural adhesives fiber.
The new building will be built at the Teijin Tokyo Research Center in Hino, using a warm texture and AFRW's unique wood composition to help create a stress-free environment designed to make the interior space more open and comfortable by avoiding the use of columns This maximizes the use of natural light.
