On April 8, 2024, Chinese high-strength steel manufacturer HNXG successfully produced and delivered the first batch of ultra-high strength engineering machinery steel in China. The successful delivery of this steel grade marks HNXG filling the technological gap of ultra-high strength steel in China, providing a solid research and development production foundation for the upgrading and replacement of materials and product lightweighting in the Chinese construction machinery manufacturing industry.
Ultra high strength engineering machinery steel is mainly used in key structures and load-bearing workpieces of large crane equipment, with extremely high requirements for quality and performance,only a few companies worldwide can produce it.
HNXG has overcome numerous challenges such as complex process parameters, narrow composition, thickness difference, and quenching unevenness. It has successfully developed ultra-high strength steel with yield ≥ 1300Mpa and excellent low-temperature impact toughness, achieving international advanced performance.
