Ultra-large diameter and ultra-thick copper-nickel alloy pipes for French shipbuilding project Hay:A03GSJC

On September 20th, GSJC Precision Copper Alloy Material Technology Group took the French customer order as an opportunity, relying on the advantages of equipment, technology, and personnel, and successfully produced the first batch of precision copper alloy pipes—φ419*9mm (diameter 419mm, wall thickness 9mm) The ultra-large and ultra-thick copper-nickel alloy pipes for ships are the first in China to meet the needs of the international market while changing the situation that domestic products can only rely on imports.

The ultra-large and ultra-thick copper-nickel alloy pipe for ships is the seamless copper-nickel alloy pipe with the largest diameter and thickest wall thickness currently used in the international market. The products are difficult to process and have high added value. At present, there are no other manufacturers in China that can produce them, and only South Korea can produce them internationally.

According to product requirements, GSJC adopts a new hollow ingot extrusion process to solve the needs of large diameter, large wall thickness, and large single-weight tube billets. During the drawing process, it solves the problems of large wall thickness deviation and straightness out of tolerance. Adjust annealing Through the process, the finished copper-nickel alloy marine pipe with a diameter of 419mm and a wall thickness of 9mm was successfully produced.

Since 2017, GSJC has started international business with French companies and successfully sold GSJC’s copper-nickel alloy products to shipping and offshore engineering companies in Europe, North America, South America, etc. The number of product exports has increased year by year, and GSJC’s stable quality products have been recognized by end users.
